Lettera del Sindaco di Biloxi
Office of the Mayor
To participants and Guests attending the torre alfina blues winter festival:
Greetings. It is a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Torre Alfina Blues Winter Festival. I appreciate the invitation extended to my wife Macklyn and myself to attend this festival which will be held on January 3rd, 2010. Due to a prior commitment, we’re unable to attend. However, we look forward to attending the Summer Festival that will be held in July. I’m delighted that you were able to attend this important event.
Thanks to the continuous support you have given to the city of Biloxi, we’re on the way to reviving the renaissance that our community was enjoying in the decade prior to Aug. 29, 2005. In fact, the success and prosperity that we enjoyed prior to Katrina now appears to have been only a glimpse of the potential we can now realize.
Today, in a post-Katrina Biloxi, I’m proud to say that we still find ourselves in one of the most exciting and promising times in our city’s history. In the aftermath of the massive devastation and destruction that we have endured, we stand poised to realize even greater success here in Biloxi and on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Our community has an outstanding quality of life, miles of white sand beaches, tasty seafood restaurants, great deep-sea fishing, championship golf courses, family attractions, a rich cultura

l history and historic sites, affordable prices and the excitement of unlimited casino gaming. Our strongest assets, however, are the numerous contributions given to the citizens of Biloxi by the organizers of the Torre Alfina Blues Festival.
I wish you the best of luck for a successful Winter Festival.
Sincerely,
A.J. Holloway
Mayor
